While every deal is unique, a typical sale process takes between 6 to 12 months. However, some clients work with us over a period of years to optimise value. This timeline allows for thorough transaction preparation, finding the right buyer, negotiating the best commercial terms, and completing due diligence. We manage the pace to keep momentum high, but we never rush; skipping steps often leaves value on the table.

Not necessarily. In fact, many buyers (especially private equity or trade buyers) prefer the founder to stay on for a transition period to ensure continuity. This can range from a few months of consultancy to a longer leadership role, depending on the deal structure. We negotiate these terms early on to ensure they align with your personal plans for the future.
