Our Client
Our client was the operator of a group of high-end gyms and recovery centres. They were looking to support the CEO with a Group General Manager to manage the day to day operations across all locations.
The Role
The role was a complex one, it required a customer-centric leader who was able to interface with the CEO and manage a lean but widespread team across multiple sites.
The Team
Our team was headed by a Senior Associate and overseen by our Managing Director.
The Solution
For this particularly hard-to-fill role, in a challenging location, we combined targeted advertising and our active sourcing (headhunting) to generate a wide range of prospective candidates with transferrable skills and experiences. Due the nature of the role, we considered candidates with experience in retail leisure and hospitality. We utilised our ideal candidate profiling at longlisting stage to assess each candidates suitability against an 'ideal' candidate profile before shortlisting candidates for final client interview.
The Result
We identified over 500 candidates with 94 contacted through direct headhunting, we held formal interviews with 24 candidates. Following initial assessments, we long listed 10 candidates for panel interview and assessment, and shortlisted 3 for final client interviews. The successful candidate was offered the role, and accepted.
