The Context
Our client was the CEO of a household consumer services brand, they were promoted into the role through a succession planning process and this was their first CEO role.
The Challenge
The client wanted to learn common pitfalls during CEO transitions as well as develop executive presence, communication and stakeholder relationship management.
Our Approach
We delivered one-to-one executive coaching from one of our experienced CEO level coaches.
Our Solution
We delivered a 6-month coaching programme of one-to-one executive coaching from one of our experienced CEO level coaches. Assisting this process was our Personality & Values Profile which uncovered development opportunities and revealed personality insights to assist the transition and objectives of the client.
The Results
Our approach delivered tangible results over the 6-month period after our intervention. Measurable outcomes included increased team satisfaction in respect of communication from senior leadership, and an increase in profitability. Additionally, stakeholders reported a smooth transition and a balanced approach for reporting from the CEO. The client reported they felt more confident to make key decisions during their transition, knowing the context of what some of the best performing CEO’s do during their early tenure, and better communication. The results were such that the client opted to continue with coaching for an ongoing ‘sounding board’ and continued development.
